I. What is a Dried Fruit Packaging Machine?
A dried fruit packaging machine is an automated device specifically designed for the automatic metering, filling, and sealing of various dried fruits (such as dried mango, raisins, dried strawberries, banana chips, dried apples, dried kiwis, etc.). Its core objectives are to ensure product hygiene, extend shelf life, improve packaging speed and aesthetics, and facilitate storage, transportation, and sales.
II. Main Workflow
A typical fully automatic or semi-automatic packaging machine workflow is as follows:
1. Feeding: Dried fruit is manually or via a lift into the hopper.
2. Metering: This is the crucial step. Different metering methods are selected based on the shape of the dried fruit (flakes, granules, blocks).
3. Bag Making/Retrieving: Packaging bags are made on-site from roll film or retrieved from pre-made bags.
4. Filling: The metered product is loaded into the bags through the hopper.
5. Sealing: Heat-sealing (for roll film) or sealing (for pre-made bags) the packaging bags.
6. Output: The packaged products are conveyed out via a conveyor belt, which can connect to subsequent processes such as coding, weight verification, and boxing.
III. Core Types and Selection Criteria
1. Classification by Packaging Form
1) Vertical Packaging Machine: Uses roll film to produce back-sealed, three-side-sealed, or four-side-sealed bags on-site. Suitable for regular small pieces and granules (such as raisins, small mango chunks), extremely fast, and low packaging cost.
2) Pre-made Bag Packaging Machine: Uses pre-made, elegant packaging bags (stand-up pouches, zipper bags, four-side-sealed bags, etc.). Suitable for irregularly shaped, fragile, and larger pieces of dried fruit (such as whole slices of dried kiwi, dried figs), providing good product protection and better packaging display.
3) Pillow Packaging Machine: Typically used for secondary packaging of pre-packaged small bags of dried fruit into pillow bags or long strips of dried fruit.
2. Classification by Automation Level
1) Fully Automatic Packaging Machine: Automated from metering to sealing, high speed (up to dozens of bags per minute), suitable for medium to large production lines.
2) Semi-Automatic Packaging Machine: Requires manual assistance in bag placement or metering, slower speed, lower investment cost, suitable for startups or small-batch production.
3. Key Selection Criteria
1) Product Characteristics: Size, shape, weight, and stickiness (high sugar content and tendency to stick) are primary considerations. Irregular and fragile products are best suited for pouch packaging; regular granules/flakes can be packaged vertically.
2) Packaging Materials: Commonly used composite materials such as KPET/PE and AL/PE, requiring good barrier properties (moisture-proof, oxidation-proof), heat-sealing properties, and puncture resistance.
3) Metering Accuracy: The core indicator for evaluating equipment performance. High-precision scales (such as combination scales) can control errors within ±0.5-1 gram.
4) Production Capacity Requirements: Select based on your daily output or number of packages per minute.
5) Special Functions: Do you require nitrogen filling or vacuuming functions (for high-end, easily oxidized products)? Do you need a built-in date coding function? Do you need network connectivity for data monitoring?
